  5. 1) "LoDOWN introduces first tabletop optical scanner to allow photographic 
  6. quality for the Macintosh" - Full page scan in 12 seconds at 300dpi and 32 
  7. gray scales. Image Scanner Software allows editing of captured images. To
  8. be introduced at MacWorld Expo at retail price of $1295. Shipping is
  9. scheduled for February.

  11. 2) "LoDOWN announces the first optical WORM disk for the Macintosh" -
  12. Write Once Read Many 400MB or 800MB optical Laser Disk connects to SCSI
  13. bus. Sophisticated error correction technique. Removable media disks,
  14. bootable if wished. Multiple writes to the drive are allowable. Price will, 
  15. be about $5,000. WORM drive will be introduced at the Expo as well.
